Symantec and Fujitsu Ink Data Storage Deal

Under a newly inked deal, Fujitsu and Symantec are partnering to sell Fujitsu servers that are bundled with Symantec's data protection, security and volume management software. According to Channel Register, Fujitsu will contribute its Primergy servers and Eternus storage arrays while Symantec will add in the usual suspects including Backup Exec and Endpoint Protection.

"The two will jointly identify and provide bundles integrating both of their products and services which they will sell to medium and large enterprises. Symantec will throw in the usual suspects of Backup Exec, Backup Exec System Recovery, Net Backup, Storage Foundation and Endpoint Protection.
