Archived Data Manager For Linux, Oracle Databases

B&L Associates has recently announced Linux and Oracle Databases support for its central management system for all historical backup catalogs, Archived Data Manager (ADM). According to the company in its news release, ADM is a Web-based application that consolidates all of your historical backup catalogs. ADM also quickly identifies and accesses archived information needed for litigation.

"B&L Associates wanted to provide these benefits for the steadily growing Linux community as well. In 2007, it was estimated that Linux held almost 13% of the overall server market. However, that number could be larger because it is based solely on the number of Linux servers sold and not on the number of machines running Linux. Moreover, 60% of Web-servers now run Linux.

"'Archived Data Manager has been available to run on Windows and SQL Server databases,' said Michael Kramer, VP Sales and Marketing at B&L Associates. 'We felt it was important to make ADM available to Linux and Oracle users and support an important and growing segment of our IT community.'"
