ReadyNAS Storage Networking Devices Are VMware Ready
Netgear's line of business-class ReadyNAS storage networking devices has achieved VMware Ready status. As noted in Netgear's news release on PR Newswire, all models of the company's ReadyNAS for Business products include a unified (NAS and iSCSI) storage architecture, secure replication, and an off-site archive option.
"NETGEAR, Inc., a worldwide provider of technologically innovative, branded networking solutions, today announced that its entire ReadyNAS family of business-class, high-performance unified network storage devices has achieved VMware Ready status. Both desktop and rack-mount ReadyNAS for Business products, including the recently announced ReadyNAS 3100 and ReadyNAS 4200, have all passed their rigorous VMware testing for the NFS and now the iSCSI protocols.
"Business-class ReadyNAS products include form factors to fit any budget or location. The desktop NVX (4-bay) and Pro (6-bay) are ideal for smaller firms or remote offices/branch offices with the tightest budget constraints or moderate availability requirements. The rack-mount ReadyNAS family includes 1U 4-bay models (the 2100 and 3100), as well as 2U 12-bay models (the 3200 and 4200). All models include a unified (NAS and iSCSI) storage architecture, secure replication, an offsite archive option, and yield highest performance and reliability metrics in their class."
