Quantum Introduces SMB Data Backup System

Quantum has announced its new DXi4500 data deduplication systems for SMBs and remote offices. As noted in this Infostor report, both DXi4500 models come bundled with all DXi software licenses needed to support disk-based backup (including VMware environments), data deduplication and replication.

"The DXi4500 is available in two models differentiated by price/capacity points. The DXi4510 provides 2TB of usable capacity for $12,500, while the DXi4520 provides 4TB at $22,500.

"Both models provide RAID-6 protection with up to 400GB-per-hour data ingest performance and support for encrypted, compressed replication streams."
