Fujitsu Simplifies Disk-Based Data Backup

Fujitsu announced the validated integration of the Fujitsu ETERNUS CS800 deduplication data protection appliance with Symantec NetBackup, via the Symantec OpenStorage (OST) Application Programming Interface (API). According to this AME Info report, customers with data-intensive operations can now manage their data protection more easily and intelligently by tiering backup data according to importance and retention requirements.
