This week Amazon announced the availability of Cluster Compute Instances for Amazon EC2, a new instance type specifically designed for high performance computing (HPC) applications and other demanding network-bound applications. Also noted in this Data Center Knowledge round-up is NetApp's new storage management integration for greater performance and scalability of VMware vSphere environments and recent news from VMware and Compellent.
