LambdaDriver Qualified by Hitachi for Storage Networking
MRV Communications recently announced that the company has joined the Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) Solution Alliance, and that its LambdaDriver wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) optical transport system has been qualified by HDS to support its TrueCopy software. According to the company in this Market Watch news release, The optical LambdaDriver WDM system is an ideal ultra-low latency and highly reliable storage area networking (SAN) optical extension solution with supported data rates from 8 Mbps up to 40 Gbps with seamless upgrades to 100 Gbps.
"Qualified by HDS for extended distance connectivity, the LambdaDriver supports the Hitachi TrueCopy Remote Replication software. TrueCopy provides a continuous, non-disruptive, host-independent remote data replication solution for disaster recovery or data migration over any distance. The combined solution allows users to synchronously transport high-bandwidth replication traffic with minimal delays and high reliability.
