Overland Files Patent Infringement Lawsuit on Tape Storage Technologies

A press release on MarketWatch.com reported on Overland Storage's decision to file a patent infringement lawsuit against BDT AG, BDT-Solutions GmbH, and BDT Products. Overland claims the companies violated two of its patents related to automated media libraries. In its lawsuit, Overland Storage is asking for fair royalties and requesting that BDT AG, et. al cease using the company's patented technologies.

'We believe our technologies are one of the driving forces behind the demand for tape storage solutions today. Our patented technologies allow us and others to bring to market products and solutions that are more reliable, more secure and more efficient,' said Mr. Kelly."
