HP Package Helps Generate a Private Cloud Faster

Hewlett-Packard (HP) is combining blade hardware with its data center management software in a package called CloudStart. As reported on Information Week, CloudStart software is a pay-per-use service offering real-time access to resources by users.

"HP's approach to private enterprise clouds will start from a hardware foundation of HP BladeSystem Matrix, a blade chassis with built-in Virtual Connect switching that moves converged I/O off the blade server and into the network fabric. It includes HP Cloud Service Automation software to manage the Matrix and HP StorageWorks storage management system. By starting with these pre-integrated pieces, an enterprise private cloud can be launched in 20% of the time it might normally take through the IT staff assembling the parts, he said."
