Data Domain Receives E-Discovery Appliance

Vice president of Information Discovery for Index Engines Jim McGann, states that his company's technology helps sort data for e-discovery purposes and reduces archive requirements. As reported on Computer World, Index Engines announced that its data collection software has been integrated with EMC's Data Domain's de-duplication technology, an integration which allows Index Engines' appliance to run policies that automatically identify and extract files and email from the Data Domain backup appliance for regulatory and legal discovery purposes.
