Mark Rasmussen has been promoted to Vice President, Architecture at netASPx Inc., the application service provider announced this week.

Rasmussen brings more than 20 years of experience in IT consulting, application management, team management and development to his new position. For over a year, Rasmussen has served as director of Architecture and Engineering in the company's Minneapolis Operations Facilities. Previously, he was president and CEO of Minnsoft Corp., an advanced systems integration partner for Lawson Software and IBM.

"Mark's broad base of technical skills and business expertise is key to our strategy," says Rex Carter, chief operations officer at netASPx. "We are very pleased to name him to this critical netASPx position."

"netASPx has built a strong architectural foundation to support customers," Rasmussen said. "I'm looking forward to extending our leading architecture strategy. With our introduction of clustering, Storage Area Networks and other high-availability strategies, netASPx will continue to provide robust customer solutions."

Previous to his work at Minnsoft, Rasmussen was employed by ESP Software Services where he was responsible for creating and developing a new division that specialized in supporting Lawson software. A specialist in financial services, he has also worked or consulted for American Express, Norwest Mortgage, Ameritas Financial Services, and American General Insurance Corporation.
