Prisa Intros VisualSAN 2.0

Prisa Networks today announced the availability of its new VisualSAN 2.0 network management software for Storage Area Networks (SANs). VisualSAN 2.0, targeted at OEMs, is the ideal SAN management software platform that enables SAN management for the mainstream SAN market.

"VisualSAN 2.0 builds on our already successful 1.0 version," stated Rael Morris, vice president of marketing for Prisa Networks. "The platform's scalable and flexible architecture directly addresses the needs of the user while enabling SAN solution vendors to customize and cost-effectively integrate powerful management capabilities into their SAN offerings. VisualSAN 2.0 represents an industry milestone in SAN management ease of use and power."

VisualSAN 2.0's management suite adds value to OEMs through strong product differentiation, the ability to meet core mainstream end-user needs, and increased service-related opportunities. The custom suite can be quickly integrated into product and service offerings, providing faster time-to-market at a lower overall cost, while incorporating the latest SAN management technologies. Collectively, these capabilities complement OEM SAN solution offerings and provide a significant advantage to OEMs over the competition.

Prisa's SAN management platform is currently deployed at hundreds of customer sites and is managing over 10,000 Fibre Channel switch ports. Feedback from these end-users has strongly driven the feature rich VisualSAN 2.0 suite. SAN Administrators can take full advantage of their system infrastructure through the intuitive and easy-to-use SAN management applications that Prisa's software offers. The new additions to VisualSAN 2.0 provide for increased scalability, manageability, reliability and improved throughput: The entire suite has been architected around a new user interface that is designed for ease of use and rapid customer deployment.
