Storage Area Networks (SANZ) is introducing a new family of data management appliances called EarthWhere, a set of products designed for the needs of end users of remote sensing and Geospatial data.

Mark Hardy, Director and General Manager of SANZ Geospatial Practice said, “The market that we have targeted includes an estimated 15,000 user sites in applications that include defense, surveillance, oil and gas, utilities, real estate, engineering and construction, and federal, state and local agencies.”

SANZ said EarthWhere is a broad extension of its original GEMS product offering for this market, and provides highly scalable, integrated data management, archival and disaster recovery capabilities based on the latest in SAN architecture in an appliance that can be quickly and easily integrated into the client’s existing environment.
