Procom Technology Inc., manufacturer of data storage appliances and network attached storage (NAS), this week announced their new product -- the NetFORCE(TM) 1700.
Procom claims the NAS product has the highest storage density, best performance and lowest cost per megabyte of any product in its class.
"By listening to the need of our customers, we've been able to leverage Procom's technological advantage to produce a truly remarkable product. The NetFORCE 1700 aces on all fronts, delivering a unique blend of value, performance and capacity," said Page Tagizad, Procom director of Product Management.
"As IT budgets become tighter, businesses are scrambling for creative ways to reduce costs. The NetFORCE 1700 meets this need by dramatically simplifying network storage management, extending the life of existing application servers as it offloads storage services and significantly lowers the overall total cost of ownership. With the 1700, companies can easily keep pace with mounting data loads while controlling costs and improving content delivery as never before," said Tagizad.
Procom's NetFORCE 1700 NAS appliance is available immediately. ASP starts at $26,661 and can range as high as $43,331 for a 1.8TB fully loaded system.
