FalconStor Storage Server Achieves VMware Ready Status

FalconStor Software has announced that its FalconStor Network Storage Server (NSS) storage virtualization and data protection solution has achieved VMware Ready status. According to the company in this MarketWatch release, this designation indicates that FalconStorNSS has passed a detailed evaluation and testing process managed by VMware and is now listed on the VMware Partner Product Catalog.

"'The certification of FalconStor NSS for VMware vSphere 5 and VAAI continues the tradition of FalconStor solutions working with and extending the VMware native storage integration and data protection capabilities,' said Fadi Albatal, vice president of marketing for FalconStor. 'Now our customers can enjoy the full benefit of offloading resource-intensive functions to the storage infrastructure and integrating VMware vSphere 5 into virtual storage environments optimized for backup and DR using any combination of storage and physical servers.'"
