Nasuni Offers New Cloud Storage SLA

Nasuni has announced a new storage service, under development for the last two years, that features a 100-percent uptime service level agreement (SLA). As reported on Network Computing, this is a new set of services that represents a significant evolution in cloud storage.


Nasuni burst onto the scene 18 months ago when it introduced a virtualized NAS appliance plus cloud storage. Its Filer solution, a combination of a virtual NAS file server that runs on VMware and a cloud storage service, keeps working files in cache. The files are served up to local users, and changes to these files are deduped, compressed, aggregated and sent to the cloud service, updating the cloud storage file set and minimizing storage space.
