IBM subsidiary Mylex today announced it is offering its value-added resellers (VARs) and system integrators significant price reductions across the board for Mylex AcceleRAID(TM) and eXtremeRAID(TM) controllers. Mylex plans on reducing prices by up to 25 percent, or $400.
According to Mylex, the price reductions come on the heels of Mylex's new Qualification Unit Program, a reseller incentive that offers qualified VARs discounts up to 40 percent off list prices to buy and evaluate up to two of each Mylex RAID controller model, along with a money-back guarantee on those units.
Mylex AcceleRAID and eXtremeRAID controllers offer support for RAID levels 0, 1, 0+1, 3, 5, 10, 30, 50 and JBOD, and most major operating systems, including Windows NT, Windows 2000, Linux (through third parties), NetWare, Sun Solaris, SCO UNIX, SCO UnixWare, and DOS.https://o1.qnsr.com/log/p.gif?;n=203;c=204655439;s=10655;x=7936;f=201806121855330;u=j;z=TIMESTAMP;a=20400368;e=i New suggested list pricing starts as follows: AcceleRAID 170LP, $399; AcceleRAID 170, $499; AcceleRAID 352, $799; eXtremeRAID 2000, $1,499; and eXtremeRAID 3000, $1,999.
