Exabyte Corporation, a network backup systems vendor, today announced today that it has signed a joint Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with BakBone Software Corporation, a a network data protection software vendor.
According to Exabyte, the MOU specifies that each company will more actively engage in marketing the other's products, and opens the door for cross-training of marketing, sales and support resources at both companies. In addition, Exabyte and BakBone will share proprietary information relating to the engineering and development of future products.
"BakBone's NetVault(TM) backup software works particularly well with our tape drives and tape automation hardware and, to date, they have been a significant partner in successful backup solutions for a number of our customers.
