Bottom Line
Organizations that use VMware’s vSphere virtualization technology may also want to consider its vSAN software-defined storage (SDS). The interoperability between these solutions should be seamless, enabling an efficient and sophisticated SDS environment.
The vSAN comes in a wide range of editions, making it suitable for many different use cases, industries, and companies of all sizes. Clearly, VMware, with its deep legacy in virtualization and the data center, understands the key parameters of SDS.
Furthermore, vSAN is particularly well adapted for creating cloud computing environments based on hyperconverged infrastructure. So it is designed for today’s advanced combined hardware offerings, enabling it to leverage the most advanced data center environments.
Product Description
According to VMware, more than 15,000 customers have deployed vSAN, its software-defined storage solution. It comes in multiple editions to support a wide range of use cases.
