Dantz Development Corporation this week announced that the company has received Compaq (NYSE:CPQ) StorageWorks Value Partner Program certification for its Retrospect(R) Backup software. Retrospect Backup is now certified for use with Compaq servers and direct-attached storage devices.
"The Compaq StorageWorks Value Partner Program was created to highlight select companies' products designed to work seamlessly with Compaq hardware, with certification awarded only to products of demonstrable quality," remarked Rusty Smith, director of Compaq's Enterprise Nearline Storage Division. "Dantz's Retrospect Backup software matches the outstanding reliability and performance of our servers and includes the features that our small and medium business customers require -- an excellent value for the price-sensitive SMB market."
"We're proud to become Compaq's first StorageWorks Value Partner focused on direct-attached storage and the SMB arena," said Craig Isaacs, vice president of sales and marketing at Dantz. "Retrospect is the only file-based backup software for Windows environments that performs precise, single-step restores from new-and-changed file backups. That reliability doesn't have to be an option for administrators and consultants managing data at small and medium businesses. Compaq and Dantz together offer that reliability."
