Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA) today announced the latest release of BrightStor Mobile Backup, the company's remote/mobile data availability solution for laptop computers.
According to CA, BrightStor Mobile Backup 3.5 enables mobile workers to continue using their applications while backup takes place, while a new GUI further enhances personal productivity by making it easier to flag and prioritize files for automatic backup.
CA said BrightStor Mobile Backup is fully optimized for the low-bandwidth, intermittent wired or wireless connections, identifying critical files and only transmiting byte-level, incremental file changes, conserving bandwidth. In the event that a user's laptop is lost, stolen or damaged, BrightStor Mobile Backup can fully restore all critical data files onto a new laptop. It can also restore the user's desktop icons, Internet favorites and other system attributes.
BrightStor Mobile Backup is an integral component of CA's BrightStor, which it said delivers a family of integrated, high-performance, mobile-to-mainframe storage solutions for data availability and enterprise storage resource management.https://o1.qnsr.com/log/p.gif?;n=203;c=204655439;s=10655;x=7936;f=201806121855330;u=j;z=TIMESTAMP;a=20400368;e=i
