Dantz Development Corporation Retrospect Backup software now supports PC DVD+RW drives from Ricoh and Sony. The drives store 4.7 gigabytes of computer data.

According to Dantz, Retrospect employs progressive backups, known as IncrementalPLUS, a new-and-changed-files method of backup, as well as automation technology that assigns backup priority to systems on the fly.

The company said owners of Retrospect Backup for Windows may add DVD+RW support to their Retrospect product by downloading the latest free Retrospect Driver Update from the Dantz website.
