Storage outsourcing company RELERA today announced it has opened an Internet Data Center (IDC) in Sacramento, California. RELERA says the new IDC operates on an energy grid unaffected by the area's current energy crisis and is located in seismically stable territory.
"Sacramento is ripe for a facility of this caliber," said Steve Haverstock, IDC Director of RELERA's Sacramento IDC. "This is not just another IDC. This facility features state-of-the-art security and management coupled with the industry's premier infrastructure and services. We are well- positioned to provide the Sacramento and Bay areas with a stable, secure, best-in-class IT outsourcing solution."
According to RELERA, its facilities feature fully redundant power, cooling, physical security and on-site service to companies in technologically underserved cities across the country. This year, RELERA has also opened IDCs in Richmond, Va.; Memphis, Tenn.; San Antonio; Charlotte, N.C.; and Las Vegas. The company plans to have a total of 11 IDCs open and operating by mid-year.
