Snap Appliances(TM)today announced the first shipment of its terabyte-class NAS solution -- the Snap Server(R) 12000, which offers 960GB of capacity in a three unit rack-mountable configuration. It is Snap's highest capacity NAS device.
According to Snap, the new NAS server is ideal for business-critical storage in demanding IT environments, such as large corporate workgroups and departments. In additon, Snap said the Snap Server 12000 is designed to offer customers a more cost-effective alternative to large NT-class servers and SCSI-Attached RAID.

The Snap Server 12000 has an MSRP of $14,999.
