McDATA said McData Connectors offers support for storage networking fabrics and third-party application integration. Representatives from the following companies attended McDATA’s partner event: Accenture, Alidian, Bakbone Software, BMC, CommVault, Confluence Networks, CreekPath Systems, Datacore, Emulex, GiantLoop, Illuminata, Imperial Technology, InterSAN, Invio, JNI, LSI Logic, QLogic, SAN Valley Systems, Spectralogic, StorageTek, StoreAge Networking Technologies, Sun Microsystems, Tivoli, TrueSAN Networks, VERITAS Software and XIOtech. To date, 11 of those companies have applied to join McDATA’s OpenReady Developer Partner Program.

McDATA said its API strategy is an important building block for its Epoch Software Architecture, a storage networking software platform that encompasses McDATA’s entire suite of software products.
