EMC today announced the opening of the EMC Windows Competency Center.

“EMC has invested countless engineering hours and resources in developing best practices for storage networking in Windows environments,” said Tim Rice, Director of the EMC Windows Competency Center. “The EMC Windows Competency Center brings the sum of EMC’s investment to customers by demonstrating, in real-world environments, storage networking best practices and solutions to specific customer challenges.”

The company said the new center leverages EMC’s alliance with Microsoft to test and pre-qualify new Microsoft products in storage network environments, demonstrate storage networking best practices for the Windows platform and simulate specific customer environments for testing prior to installation.
