Myrient Bundles On-Line Backup with Broadband

Myrient , an outsourced IT solutions provider that delivers managed services, has launched a bundled product offering combining its ZIPBackup on-line backup solution and broadband access. The company said the new offering is aimed at small and medium-sized businesses.

“Market demand has created the need for a bundled broadband and on-line backup solution,” stated Jim Ferguson, Executive Vice President, Worldwide Sales, Myrient. “We already have fully outsourced end-to-end IT solutions available, and with these advanced bundled solutions we further help our customers to build a reliable outsourced IT infrastructure that they wouldn’t be able to afford otherwise without a provider like Myrient.”

According to Myriant, ZIPBackup provides an alternative to other backup technologies, off-site data storage, and data archive solutions. The company said data may be sent over the public Internet, through a dedicated connection or through a CentraPath Virtual Private Network connection to Myrient’s storage network. All users have the ability to instantly restore any version of their data from any location. ZIPBackup also automatically adjusts the amount of bandwidth it uses to send storage data.
