QLogic and Overland Data Introduce SAN Solution

QLogic Corp. has partnered with Overland Data to offer a storage area network (SAN) solution to small and medium businesses.

According to the companies, users can set up an entry-level SAN data protection configuration with 2.8 TB of native capacity for applications such as Microsoft Exchange and SQL, using the QLogic SAN Connectivity Kit 1000 and the Overland Neo series(TM) tape library for less than $37,000.

The companies said the QLogic SAN Connectivity Kit is fully certified for interoperability with Overland Neo tape libraries. The kit is turn-key SAN infrastructure and includes QLogic SANbox 8 port switch, four SANblade 2200 Series host bus adapters (HBAs), fiber optic cables and GBIC connectors, device driver software, documentation and computer based training CD.
