In a press release presented on Market Wire, BridgeSTOR announced that it has signed an OEM agreement with Symantec Corp. (NASDAQ: SYMC) to provide the first Application Optimized Storage (AOS) appliance equipped with Symantec Backup Exec 2010 deduplication suite. The agreement allows BridgeSTOR to deliver a deduplicating backup appliance with hardware-accelerated inline data compression, a full backup media server software license, and up to 16 TB of backup-to-disk storage capacity.
