Gadzoox Networks Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

Gadzoox Networks Inc. , a supplier of Storage Area Network (SAN) products, has appointed Barbara Velline as chief financial officer and vice president of finance. In additon, the company has promoted Erik Ottem to vice president of sales and marketing.

According to Gadzoox Networks, Velline brings broad experience in Finance and Administration with specific expertise in helping emerging companies to achieve profitability, while Ottem brings over 20 years of experience in sales and marketing in the storage industry, including a number of market firsts.

“Earlier in the year Barbara assisted Gadzoox Networks in fundraising and restructuring efforts and we are excited to now have her join our executive team,” said Michael Parides, President and CEO of Gadzoox Networks. “For the past six months, Erik has led our OEM account team and has a proven track record of developing strong customer relationships. I am confident that Barbara and Erik will be invaluable to our next phase of growth.”

Velline joins Gadzoox Networks as the chief financial officer and vice president of finance reporting directly to Michael Parides, President and CEO of Gadzoox Networks. Velline will be responsible for financial management and reporting, and strategic financial planning initiatives

Erik Ottem joined Gadzoox Networks in 1998 and has held various senior marketing and sales positions before being promoted to his current position of vice president of sales and marketing
