with its entire e-learning product offering-including content, authoring and services-as an extension of the EMC Proven Professional certification program and worldwide technical education offering.
Under the terms of the agreement, EMC has chosen KnowledgeNet’s LIVE and INTERACTIVE e-learning formats to support its worldwide e-learning initiative, which primarily encompasses worldwide internal training and the EMC Proven professional certification program. The agreement will also extend KnowledgeNet’s custom services to continue to co-develop technical courseware in an e-learning format.
As a result of this agreement, KnowledgeNet becomes the primary developer and training distributor of EMC’s technical training e-learning initiative. Annual upgrade maintenance, training and services are included in the agreement to ensure that EMC has access to the most advanced platform in the industry, so it can quickly develop and deploy high-quality custom e-learning.
The KnowledgeNet e-learning platform will be seamlessly integrated with EMC’s Saba Learning Management System (LMS) environment, allowing EMC to leverage its previous investment in technology. To date, over 2,700 customers in the telecom, retail, federal government, banking and insurance industries have switched to KnowledgeNet to replace some of the largest e-learning vendors in the industry because of its demonstrated high quality, advanced user interface, proven usage statistics and a 94% certification pass rate over traditional classroom training methods.
Today’s announcement marks EMC’s latest investment in its comprehensive education and training program aimed at addressing the unique and diverse challenges across the storage industry. As the leader in the storage industry, EMC, through its creation of the EMC Proven Professional certification program, has provided a forum for IT professionals to learn the latest best practices in deploying and managing their information storage environments.
