Storability, Inc., a provider of storage management technology and services, today named John Rando as Chairman and Tim Leisman as President and CEO. Leisman replaces Matthew Westover, who will continue to drive strategic opportunities for the company as a founder and member of the board of directors.

“This is a natural progression for companies moving from start-up to mainstream,” said Steve Duplessie, Senior Analyst with the Enterprise Storage Group. “Matt is an entrepreneur, visionary, and evangelist. Tim Leisman is a seasoned general manager known for execution and business acceleration. John Rando’s reputation and industry reach will enhance relationships with enterprise accounts and strategic partners. It’s a powerful working combination.”

The company said John Rando has more than 24 years of senior IT leadership and is widely recognized for developing and leading Digital Equipment Corporation’s Services Division. Following the merger with Compaq Computer Corporation, Rando served as Senior Vice President and Group General Manager of Compaq Services. Tim Leisman has more than 20 years of software and service general management experience at Fortune 50 companies and start-ups. Previously, he was President and CEO at Infinite Content, an i2 business-to-business software company.
