StorageTek, and LSI Logic Storage Systems have expanded their line of co-branded storage solutions with the introduction of the 14-drive D173 entry-level open systems disk subsystem.
A StorageTek spokesperson said the D173 can easily be upgraded to StorageTek and LSI Logic’s co-branded D178 enterprise-level open-system disk solution, and is managed by the same SANtricity software . The D173 is available in both 10 and 14 drive enclosures with a maximum capacity of 5.4 TB. It is aimed at small and medium businesses, remote users and departmental level customers.
