The device operates at 10Gbps Ethernet or OC-192 Packet over SONET.
"The primary benefit of our RQDPC10G processor is that it performs packet analysis in hardware for all layers and payload at wire-rate, thus vastly speeding up content-based networks," said Alain Arnaud, president of Raqia, in a statement. "Additionally, our device offloads the Network Processing Unit, allowing it to concentrate on its main functions, packet forwarding, statistics, and traffic management. The processor-intensive packet analysis is thus more efficiently handled."
The RQDPC10G is a revolutionary silicon-based regular expression classification processor. This highly programmable, single-chip solution provides wire-rate deterministic matching anywhere in the packet, including header or payload.https://o1.qnsr.com/log/p.gif?;n=203;c=204660765;s=10655;x=7936;f=201812281308090;u=j;z=TIMESTAMP;a=20400368;e=i The RQDPC10G processor, which boosts the performance of Layer 7-based systems by accelerating classification and increasing throughput, is essential in enhancing a wide variety of applications including server load-balancing, content-based switching and billing, proxy caching, storage area networks, and many others.
Samples of the RQDPC10G will be available in the first half of 2002. FPGA-based prototypes will be available 4th quarter of 2001. Pricing information was not immediately available.
