DataCore(TM) Software, a provider of storage virtualization and networking software, announced the formal launch of its Japanese office and SAN customer center in Tokyo to support the growing needs of companies for cost-effective, easy-to-use Storage Area Network (SAN) solutions in the region. Hiromi Kanasaki was appointed director of Japan operations for DataCore.
The new facility serves as the sales, marketing and technical support center for Japan as well as the Asian Pacific center for SAN user training. It is located in the center of Tokyo near the Imperial Palace, government offices and other international companies.
"Japanese businesses are suffering from the high costs of managing massive and growing amounts of data storage. These businesses are just beginning to understand the critical role of storage networks and virtualization technologies to significantly improve the return on investment and productivity of storage assets, to reduce the cost of management, and to provide needed flexibility and scalability to deal with growth," said Kanasaki. DataCore SANsymphony training has already been conducted with the first group of representatives from leading storage solutions providers in Japan. DataCore has nine offices in North America, Europe and Asia and employs just under 200 people worldwide.
