PITTSBURGH — The email backup provider Hornetsecurity is expanding its data center reach.

Hornetsecurity added the U.S. and U.K. to the regions customers can automatically back up their Microsoft 365 data to, using Hornetsecurity’s 365 Total Backup and 365 Total Protection Enterprise Backup, according to the company this month.

The move is intended to give customers the ability to choose where to store backup data based on their data jurisdiction requirements.

The company also provides data backup in Germany and plans to add more regions “shortly.”

365 Total Backup enables managed service providers (MSPs) and value-added resellers (VARs) to provide backup and recovery services for Microsoft 365 mailboxes, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint. They can take backups and manage them through a multi-tenant, cloud-based console.

The 365 data is automatically stored to Hornetsecurity’s data centers, where storage is redundant.

As 365 data is backed up, customers are “no longer solely dependent on Microsoft for that data.”

The company offers “unlimited” backup storage, which is included in its per-user pricing.

“As a global, channel-centric company, we listen to our partners and are happy to act on their feedback to deliver solutions that meet and exceed customer requirements,” said Daniel Hofmann, CEO, Hornetsecurity.
