, an provider of automated, policy-based, storage area management (SAM) software solutions, today announced relationships with a number of industry-leading storage device vendors, including EMC Corp., Hitachi Data Systems (HDS), Sun Microsystems, LSI Logic Storage Systems, Brocade Communications Systems, Network Appliance, JNI Corp., Emulex Corp., McData Corp. and QLogic Corp.

By supporting popular Storage Area Network (SAN) devices from these vendors, CreekPath’s SAM software solutions will enable enterprise storage customers to take greater control of their storage networks, company officials said. CreekPath’s new SAM software solutions, which will be announced in January and available in early 2002, ensure higher availability of the application while applying end-user service-level requirements to all storage decisions.

“The combination of the industry’s best-of-breed SAN component vendor products and CreekPath’s SAM software solutions will allow customers to significantly save money by managing and controlling the complexity of SANs with a powerful single-touch, policy-driven SAM solution,” said Mike Koclanes, president, CEO and co-founder of CreekPath Systems. “By being heterogeneous, the CreekPath software solutions will allow any enterprise, anywhere to have state-of-the-art storage area management.”

CreekPath has secured funding in excess of $20 million since its inception in January 2000. Key investors include TeleSoft Partners, Sequel Venture Partners and Exabyte Corp. CreekPath will be announcing its new SAM software solutions at the 2002 Mission Critical Storage Networking trade show in Phoenix, Ariz., on January 17 and 18.
