FalconStor Software has announced it has successfully completed interoperability testing of IPStor and Oracle9i Database with Real Application Clusters to help better manage the performance and reliability of critical applications running across database clustering technology.
Oracle9i Database with Real Application Clusters supports all types of applications and enables them to run unchanged when exploiting a clustered environment. IPStor seamlessly supports Real Application Clusters, and provides Oracle9i Database with online configuration of storage, file system manageability and the aggregating and provisioning of storage resources. Validation of interoperability testing occurred at Oracle’s headquarters in Redwood Shores, CA.
“FalconStor continually demonstrates a commitment to delivering innovative solutions and services to our customers using Oracle9i Database with Real Application Clusters,” said Wayne Lam, FalconStor vice president of marketing. “The combination of IPStor and Oracle9i Database technology provides corporations with an unprecedented level of data availability and recovery.”
The innovative storage-networking infrastructure delivered by IPStor and Oracle databases provide capacity-on-demand, end-to-end high availability, key-based security, any-to-any storage network connectivity, and total storage hardware/vendor independence. Oracle and IPStor customers can immediately take advantage of IPStor’s Snapshot Agent support for Oracle database technology, Zero-Impact Backup Enabler, TimeMark/TimeView, and Fast Remote Data Synchronization options to help protect their live data against hardware failures, software failures, virus attacks, and even human errors.
