FalconStor Software announced that its storage infrastructure software IPStor will support storage networks based on INRANGE’s Virtual Storage Networking (IN-VSN) architecture.
According to the companies, IPStor has successfully completed qualification testing for interoperability with the 64-port and 128-port models of INRANGE’s IN-VSN FC/9000 Fibre Channel Director.
The companies also said IPStor’s end-to-end security, redundancy and manageability complement the FC/9000 Fibre Channel Director, which they said offers four times the capacity of any director or switch product currently shipping.
“IPStor’s ability to leverage INRANGE’s FC/9000 to establish multiple, parallel and redundant paths between storage and application servers helps facilitate the deployment of scaleable infrastructures and simplify management,” said Wayne Lam, FalconStor vice president of marketing. “By developing complimentary hardware and software offerings, INRANGE and FalconStor are providing customers with cost-effective, resilient storage networking solutions to meet their growing demands.”
FalconStor said it is working with INRANGE to deliver interoperable, integrated solutions that meet real-world customer demands.
