Seagate subsidiary XIOtech Corporation and a storage area network (SAN) vendor, this week announced the availability of their end-to-end Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and disaster recovery (DR) services in conjunction with Science Applications International Corporation, XIOtech’s Professional Services alliance partner.

According to XIOtech and SAIC, they will offer comprehensive services to provide the assessment and planning required to establish viable BCP/DR strategies, as well as the technology and support needed to implement them.

SAIC said it helps customers implement standard procedures across all departments with activities for re-establishing systems and processes at primary or remote sites. In addition, SAIC said it provides training and testing to ensure that not only the plans, but the personnel who execute them are ready to go.

In addition to SAIC’s BCP and DR offerings, XIOtech said it provides additional storage and system solutions for disaster recovery. The company said these solutions include continuous replication of data to remote sites, storage and application clustering, and backup and restore solutions provided through XIOtech’s certified technology partners.
