Storage @ccess Technologies Inc. announced that it has signed a letter of agreement with China Broadband Corp. to deliver hosted data storage solutions to the Asia Pacific region.

Under the agreement, Storage Access will provide IBM hardware, software, enabling technologies and services to deliver its wide array of storage services over broadband cable. China Broadband Corp. will provide the physical facilities, sales, marketing, customer service resources and unique understanding and knowledge of the Asian market.

“This is a very formidable step for Storage Access as we expand into the virtually untapped storage service market in the Asia Pacific region,” said Jonathan Castleman, president of Storage Access. “This strategic alliance with China Broadband enables Storage Access to position itself as the first storage service provider (SSP) in the Asia Pacific region, while reinforcing our position as a global provider.”

“China Broadband is very pleased to have the opportunity to expand our Internet services in this exponentially growing market,” said Matthew Heysel, chairman and CEO of China Broadband. “Together, China Broadband and Storage Access will deliver world-class services to a very broad customer base.”
