StorageNetworks, Inc. has been awarded Network Magazine’s ‘Product of the Year’ award in the Storage Services category for the company’s STORfusion(SM) software. Network Magazine’s independent review board selected STORfusion after an intensive evaluation of leading-edge networking products and services.
STORfusion was chosen for the broad appeal of the STORos software as well as its competitive advantage, technical ingenuity, and innovative customer-driven features.
Through the STORfusion program, world-class telecommunication companies and system integrators utilize StorageNetworks’ software and services to centrally monitor and proactively manage their multi-vendor storage environments across storage area networks (SAN), networked attached storage (NAS), direct attached storage (DAS), and backup and restore technology. At the core of the offering is the company’s STORos platform, STORos StorageManager software application, and StorageNetworks’ industry-leading process methodologies and certified solutions.
Network Magazine’s Product of the Year awards are presented annually to those products and services that, according to Network Magazine, have become an industry tradition and are eagerly anticipated each year by Network Magazine readers. The 2002 categories are focused on product and service areas essential to today’s network/IT buyers.
“Today, leading companies like EDS, BellSouth, and WorldCom are leveraging our STORfusion offering to deliver managed storage services. The success of the offering is evidence that our robust storage management software enables our customers to deliver the highest levels of service, availability, utilization, and recoverability of their complex multi-vendor storage environments,” stated Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Peter Bell.
