Gadzoox Networks, a supplier of Storage Area Network (SAN) products, today debuted its SAN Access Partner Program, which is designed to simplify and reduce the product development efforts of software vendors.

According to the company, the SAN Access Partner Program should help software developers leverage the management capabilities of Gadzoox Networks 2Gb open fabric switches, including the Slingshot-ES embedded switches. In addition, Gadzoox Networks said integration of the Slingshot-ES embedded switches and management is enhanced by the SAN Access Partner Program providing another level of solution simplification for embedded switch customers.

Gadzoox Networks said a key tool of the SAN Access Partner Program is a set of application programming interfaces (APIs). Software vendors that join the SAN Access Partner Program will also have access to another tool, the Gadzoox Networks’ java-based Software Developers Kit (SDK), which when used with the APIs reduces the software vendors development time.

In addition to the use of the APIs and access to the SDK, partners also get the following from the SAN Access Partner Program: e-mail and online trouble-shooting and support, joint marketing and public relations efforts, and online exposure as part of the Gadzoox Networks’ partner catalog.
