Network attached storage (NAS) vendor Tricord Systems has become a premier-level member of the Citrix Business Alliance (CBA) program.

As a CBA Premier member, Tricord said it will move beyond fundamental product compatibility testing to a more sophisticated level of joint marketing, and will work with Citrix to provide enhanced application server computing solutions to customers. According to Tricord, its clustered NAS solution is designed for Citrix server farms that range from two to 16 servers. A Lunar Flare NAS cluster can scale from 240 gigabytes to 3.8 terabytes.

“We’re pleased to add Tricord to our CBA Premier program,” said Garry Olah, director, worldwide channel/partner management, development and partner events for Citrix. “Their solution offers high availability storage for cost-conscious customers. The Tricord solution will be introduced to our resellers at Citrix Solutions Summit 2002 in March, and we anticipate a positive reception from those partners that sell in the SMB market.”

The companies said the Citrix Business Alliance (CBA) program provides members with access to Citrix products for compatibility testing with Citrix MetaFrame application server software, new business opportunities with other Citrix solution providers, access to joint marketing programs and enhanced technical support.
