Infinidat Hires immixGroup Exec as President of Infinidat Federal

BETHESDA, Maryland — The data storage company Infinidat is welcoming a leader to its subsidiary Infinidat Federal.

Infinidat hired Troy Fortune as the president of Infinidat Federal, according to the company last month. 

Infinidat Federal is focused on accelerating the growth of Infinidat in the U.S. federal government market.

Fortune will be responsible for all aspects of Infinidat Federal. He will lead the company’s customer-facing functions, including sales reps, pre-sales engineers, and technical advisors. 

His duties include advancing and executing go-to-market strategies, leading team growth and development, increasing federal customer and partner activity, and “delivering strong federal market expansion.”

For over 30 years, Fortune has built federal and commercial sales teams in the storage market. 

He functioned in various executive and channel leadership roles, formed a network of channel and federal customer relationships, and implemented sales strategies in the storage market.

Prior to joining Infinidat Federal, Fortune served as VP and GM at immixGroup, the public sector business unit of Arrow Electronics. In this role, Fortune was responsible for the overall sales and go-to-market strategy for the federal, state, and local markets.

Fortune said the growth potential across the federal market for Infinidat is “immense, as we extend our reach and extensively expand our sales activity with federal partners and federal customers.”

Fortune added that he’s “excited to join the great culture” and team at Infinidat.
